The University of Eastern Africa, Baraton was established in 1979 as an affiliate of Andrews University, Michigan State, United States of America, until 1991, when it became the first university to be chartered by the government of the Republic of Kenya. Ever since over 5000 students from all parts of the world have successfully graduated in various disciplines and now hold reputable positions both in the public and corporate sectors.
Being a Seventh-day Adventist Church-owned institution, UEAB subscribes to the Seventh-day Adventist Church belief in holistic education that develops the mental, physical, and spiritual spheres of the student in readiness for effective service to God and humanity. At the end of the degree program, a UEAB graduate will have gained a high level of integrity and expertise in their chosen field of study; ready to tackle the challenges and demands that come with the fast-changing job market.
