Entry Requirements
To qualify for admission into the Bachelor of Business Information technology program, the student needs to meet either of the following minimum entry requirements.
- Be a holder of KCSE (or equivalent examination) certificate with a minimum aggregate of C+ and a minimum of C in both Mathematics and English
- Be a holder of KACE certificate with a minimum of two principal passes and subsidiary pass and a minimum of credit pass in Mathematics at KCE
- Be a holder of a diploma in a relevant discipline from an institution recognized by the University Senate.
- Be a holder of any other qualification accepted by the University Senate as equivalent to any of the above.
Candidates who hold a diploma from JKUAT will, at the discretion of the University Senate, be exempted from Year I. Candidates with a Diploma from other institutions recognized by the University Senate may be exempted from year one.

The BBIT course is intended to produce Information Communication & Technology (ICT) graduates with requisite management and business skills capable of managing ICT organizations and ICT departments, either in employment or in self employment. The program offers students knowledge and skills in the application of modern information technology within business. It builds skills in computer programming, business problem analysis, application design and development and implementation of IT solutions to business problems.
