The East African University is the well-spring of knowledge and Character, with the Main Campus located in Kitengela along Nairobi-Kajiado Road. The idea of The East African University was born out of dreams and aspirations of a few individuals with the desire to expand and meet the growing demand for education in the East African region and the world in general.
This idea was conceived in 2006 and the dream came true when Saleka Academy was acquired for the purpose of setting up the University.
Some professionals and other business people pooled their resources together and set up the university in Kenya. The East African University was granted the Letter of Interim Authority (LIA) by the Commission for Higher Education (CHE) on the 2nd November 2010 and the University opened its doors to pioneer students on 10th March 2011.
