Shanzu Teachers Training College is one of the institutions in the country that are recognized as leading centers of excellence when it comes to the teaching of the Primary Teacher Education (PTE) course. PTE is a two-year course that is pursued by those learners that wish to be employed as primary school teachers upon the successful completion of the KCSE. Shanzu Teachers Technical Training College - History

Shanzu Teachers College was established in the year 1967 following the amalgamation of four teacher training colleges.

Initially, the institution only focused on the training of P1, P2, and P3 teachers. Currently, the institution only trains P1 teachers.

Apart from teaching, the institution has diversified the training opportunities to include several diploma and certificate courses in the business field. The institution plays a critical role in the provision of quality training and education for the development of manpower.
