PREMESE is an acronym that stands for Prime Education and Mentorship Service. We are specialised in training in the following areas: Community Development, Community Health, Project Management, Social Work, Business Studies, Human Resource Management, Peace and Conflict Mediation, Disaster Management, Counseling Psychology, Management of HIV/ AIDS, Sales & Marketing, Early Childhood Development and Education (KNEC and Montessori Teachers Training) among many other courses and course units.
PREMESE was first registered in Kenya as a Company Limited by Guarantee in 1992. Eight years later (January 2000) PREMESE was re-registered as PREMESE Africa Development Institute (PADI).
On completion of our Diplomas, a large number of our graduates have been admitted in Local and Overseas Universities to pursue their Bachelors and Master?s Degrees in the above listed fields of specialization. Our past students have written to us from virtually all the Universities in this country and beyond where they have been admitted into various degree programmes. Many are now working in Bilateral-government Programmes, NGOs, Faith-based Organisations and Community Based Organisations within Eastern Africa region.
Many of our graduates enter into these organisations as interns looking for post-college attachment but end up securing jobs for themselves in the same organisations as a result of their outstanding performance. Since 1992, more than 20,000 participants have benefited from our short professional training in form of workshops and seminars while more than 5,000 have graduated with our Academic Certificates and Diplomas. Most of these work in Kenya, Sudan, Somalia, Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia, Burundi and Rwanda. We have some working in Malawi, Mozambique of Central Africa and Gambia in West Africa. Others have written to us from Europe, USA and Asia where they serve the humanity.
Premese Africa Development Institute - History
PREMESE was first registered in Kenya as a Company Limited by Guarantee in 1992. Eight years later (January 2000) PREMESE was re-registered as PREMESE Africa Development Institute (PADI). Institutions run like living organs and that?s why they are often referred to as organisations. That in essence implies institutions can experience low and high temperatures. From 2014 to 2016, PADI went through some Easter experienced (dying and resurrection). This registered its lowest season when its five-year accreditation with the Ministry of Education had expired among other factors.
We bounced back in 2018 when we were accredited again by Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA) confirmed by their letter REF./TVETA/ASS/7/27P/(3) dated 10th April, 2018 and which read in part: ?THE TVETA BOARD HEREBY APPROVES OF PREMESE AFRICA DEVELOPMENT INSTITUTE UNDER SECTION 20(1) OF THE TVET ACT, 2013? Consequently, we reclaimed our status as Kenya National Examinations Centre (KNEC) for our courses Centre Nos.408110/40408005. Our students now have the option of sitting for KNEC after passing our internal exams.
