Ahero Vocational Training Center is a middle-level public college that is located in Ahero, Nyando Constituency, Kisumu County. The college is located next to Boya Rural Nursing Home along the Nairobi ? Kisumu Highway, on a 10 acre piece of land. As early as 1971, Ahero Catholic Mission, the local community appreciated the value of vocational oriented education and life skills development the institution is now focusing its training programmes towards meeting the challenges arising from rapid technological advancement, education policy and labour market changes.
As a training institute of technology under the Ministry of Youth Affairs (MOYA) Ahero Youth Polytechnic, has prioritized Institutional capacity building; collaborations and partnerships; good governance and corporate image in line with MOYA?s goals and other Government policies.
