Welding and Fabrication - Artisan

Welders cut or join metal parts and also fill holes, indentations, or seams; using these metal parts to create functional and aesthetically-pleasing products.

Welding is the process of joining together two pieces of metal so that bonding takes place at their original boundary surfaces. When two parts to be joined are melted together, heat or pressure or both is applied and with or without added metal for formation of metallic bond.

Metal fabrication is the building of metal structures by cutting, bending, welding and assembling processes. It is a value-added process that involves the creation of machines, parts, and structures from various raw materials.

This welding and fabrication artisan certificate course equips the student with skills in joining welding, cutting or forming of materials using one or more fabrication and welding processes.
