The alarming increase in lifestyle diseases has prompted the high demand for nutritionists and dietitians. This certificate in nutrition and dietetics course tackles all aspects of proper diets, weight management, and health, among others. A nutritionist could start a consultant firm or work in a health facility. The opportunities are unlimited.

The trainee will work in a salaried or self-employment to improve health care using nutrition and dietetics provision in line with the Kenya Nutritionists and Dieticians Institute (KNDI) vision.

Entry Requirements

The minimum entry requirements for the certificate in nutrition and dietetics course are:

  • KCSE Mean Grade D (Plain) or;
  • Pass in relevant Artisan Course or;
  • Equivalent qualification approved by KNEC.

Objectives of Nutrition and Dietetics
