This Diploma in Marketing, Advertising, and Public Relations is a unique programme for anyone involved in, or aiming to enter, or who needs an understanding of the advertising and public relations world. 

The combination of marketing, advertising and public relations allows students to diversify their creative skills and strategic business management knowledge, as well as gaining the employability skills, including critical thinking, teamwork, communication and problem-solving, needed for a successful career in industry.

All advertising, public relations , sales and marketing managers, business owners, managers and sales staff need a good understanding of the types, functions and features of advertising, of media and agencies, and their role in promoting the products and services of an organization, and achieving profitable sales.

Good public relations positively contributes to the overall impression held by customers and other stakeholders, and to the success of enterprises; therefore managers/administrators must be aware of the benefits of good PR, know how to manage, prepare and conduct effective PR programs and campaigns, and how to manage public relations companies and clients.

Objectives of Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations

This Diploma in Marketing, Advertising, and Public Relations course provides students with the marketing skills and knowledge required to analyse customer needs, identify organisational objectives, market conditions, and existing product offerings, and enables them to design, develop, and evaluate a marketing action plan. 

Advertising combines art, science, and strategy, in addition to Public Relations which develops communications practice in a variety of contexts. 

Students will gain the skills required to attract new customers, retain existing customers, and to enhance the relationship with the product, brand, or organisation. 

Studying Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations offered at Edith Cowan University students will gain practical experience in both traditional and digital media and create portfolios that showcase their talents.

Marketing, Advertising, and Public Relations  Diploma graduates will be able to:
