The Higher National Diploma in Entrepreneurship Development produces students who are able to successfully manage their own enterprises, be managers of innovative ventures, Community Based Organizations (CBO?s) and Non Governmental Organizations (NGO?s).
The program covers topics in discovery and evaluation, creativity and innovation, finance, entrepreneurial marketing, corporate and contemporary challenges in entrepreneurship and innovation.
Students who pursue Higher National Diploma in Entrepreneurship offered by Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) with a minimum of a credit pass have been accepted for Master?s Degree programmes in local and international universities.
Entry Requirements
The minimum entry requirements for the Higher National Diploma in Entrepreneurship Development are:
- Pass in Diploma Level
- Degree from a recognized university;
- Any other equivalent qualification as approved by KNEC.
Objectives of Entrepreneurship Development
This higher national diploma in entrepreneurship development program is targeted at those who are active in or intend to enter, the entrepreneurship field.
The program is planned as an experiential learning movement and empowers aspirants to practice such exercises as looking into business sectors for new items or service idea, delivering a strategy for success with anticipated financial statements and recognizing assets to execute the plan.
Students learn how to:
- recognize and refine market openings,
- create and assess marketable strategies,
- secure financing and oversee strategic partnerships.
