Rift Valley Institute of Business Studies

Rift Valley Institute of Business Studies (RVIBS) is a registered Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institution situated in Nakuru County, Kenya.

Our founding director, armed with over 20-years of corporate experience and a passion for solving the long-standing problem of youth unemployment in Kericho County, founded the school in September 2006 as Kericho Beauty School.

The institution started with a few students from local Deliverance and PCEA churches. The institute relocated to Nakuru in mid-2008 as a result of the tribal & violent post-election clashes. The institution rebranded as Rift Valley Institute of Business Studies and formal registration was completed in September 2012.

Rift Valley Institute of Business Studies has since expanded to 6 campuses across 3 counties: Nakuru Town main campus, Molo Campus, Kericho Campus, Gilgil Campus, and Ol Kalou Campus. From the humble beginnings of 10 students in 2006 in Kericho, we have trained approximately 4000 young men and women to-date.

Rift Valley Institute of Business Studies offers a wide range of technical and business courses leading to the award of artisan, certificate, and diploma.

Rift Valley Institute of Business Studies is certified by the Ministry of Education through the TVET Authority. We also registered with the National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) and are also an accredited Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) Centre. We also offer exams by ICM, DIT City & Guilds.
