Why study at East African Institute of Welding

The East African Institute of Welding is a leader in competence-based welder training in the East Africa region to globally certified standards.

In partnership with Nexus Quality, the official African partner for Quality Control Co., the EA Institute of welding facilitates training and certification programs for Inspections and Quality control.

EA Institute of Welding (EAIW) offers a course for welders at all levels of skill. Untrained, inexperienced trainees, with no previous level of education,  but with appropriate health, physical and mental capability, may enter the programme.

Trainees can, however, enter at higher levels of this qualification providing the candidate passes the relevant theoretical examination and successfully demonstrates the required practical skills at lower levels. If a trainee can demonstrate skills at an intermediate or high level it is possible to by-pass the lower practical modules completely.

Welding Courses are presented at three theoretical levels of training. Each level is associated with a practical qualification level. EAIW  is therefore able to offer customized training programs for individuals with specific requirements.

TVET/ CDACC Welding and Fabrication Level 4 The EA Institute of Welding is a certified assessment center of TVET Curriculum Development, Assessment, and Certification Council (TVET CDACC) to provide Welding and fabrication level 4 approved curricula. The course is offered on a full-time basis for a 3 month period of training and a 3-month Internship program. The graduating welder receives a TVET/CDACC Welding and Fabrication Certificate.

The Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA) A state agency mandated to confirm the authenticity of academic documents has announced that it will recognize certificates issued to Jua Kali trained artisans who pass practical tests conducted by various authorities.
