The MSc. (Agricultural Economics) programme is offered by the Department of Agricultural Economics and is designed to give students a firm grounding in Economic Theory, Quantitative Methods and the main disciplinary fields of Agricultural Economics such as, Farm Management and Production Economics, Agricultural Marketing and international Trade, Development Economics and Rural Development and Agricultural Policy.

Course Entry Requirements:

1)      Holders of a Bachelors degree in Agriculture, Food Science, Range Management, Commerce, Economics or any other subject area from the University of Nairobi that the Department of Agricultural Economics may judge to be relevant for the programme and is acceptable to the Senate of the University of Nairobi; or


2)      Holders of equivalent degrees or qualifications from other universities recognized by the Senate of the University of Nairobi as being of comparable academic status.
