The aim of the programe at the Catholic university of Eastern Africa is to prepare students to teach at universities or serve at the highest levels of management of educational organizations, research institution, curriculum development centers, examining boards,international agency and non-governmental organizations; to demonstrate effective scholarly writing and presentation skills.

Establish a research-orientated environment in which students may study advanced topics in Education beyond the Masters degree level. Enable students to participate in cutting edge research that contributes to the advancement of Education.

Masters of Education degree in a subject relevant to his/her proposed area of study or an equivalent qualification approved by the senate.
