About BSc Animal Health and Production Bachelors Degree program.

The BSc in Animal Health programme at Kenyatta University provides a strong background in basic life sciences with application in animal immunology and infection, animal physiology, nutrition, behavior and welfare, animal production and food processing.

It is of value to students with an interest in the food animal production industry or in the field of companion animals. 

Entry requirements for BSc Animal Health and Production

An applicant will qualify for admission into the Bachelor of Animal Health and Production Programme if they have met any of the following requirements:

  • A minimum of grade C+ in KCSE with at least C+ in Biology or Biological Sciencesand any one of the following subjects: Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Physical Sciences.
  • Two principals and one Subsidiary pass at KACE level or equivalent, one of which must be in biology and in any other science subject
  • A minimum of C plain in KCSE and at least Credit in Diploma in Animal Health/ Agriculture/ Medical Laboratory Technology /Animal production/ Range management from an institution recognized by the University Senate
  • A minimum of C- in KCSE with at least a Credit in both Certificate and Diploma Animal Health/ Agriculture/ Medical Laboratory Technology, Animal production/ Range management from an institution recognized by University Senate
  • A degree in a Biological Science from institutions recognized by the University Senate
  • Any other qualifications equivalent to the above from an institution recognized by the University Senate
