The purpose of BTEC Higher Nationals in 3D Animation and Film is to develop students as professional, self-reflecting individuals able to meet the demands of employers in Creative Media Production and adapt to a constantly changing world.
Assessment
Assessment is a process of measuring learners’ work reliably against criteria, to produce results that are a valid interpretation of knowledge or performance. Each unit has specified learning outcomes and assessment criteria. To pass a unit, learners must meet all the learning outcomes.
A pass is awarded for the achievement of all outcomes against the specified assessment criteria. Merit and distinction grades are awarded for higher-level achievement.
Delivery Approach
Specifications contain a balance of practical skill development and knowledge requirements, some of which can be theoretical in nature. Assessor ensure that appropriate links are made between theory and practice and that the knowledge base is applied to the sector.

Where appropriate classes will take place in another location such as the green screen studio and recording studio.
