After realizing the demands for accountancy and Information technology professionals in Mt Kenya region, there was need to establish a college to provide to various sectors with fully qualified professionals in accountancy, Information Technology and Management.

For this reason, the birth of Achievers College of Professionals Ltd happened on 1 March 2005, which by then operated as a sole proprietorship firm, until February 10, 2010 when it was incorporated under Company’s Act Cap 486. It began with slightly higher than 10 students, the number which has grown to around 400.
